HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION: TWO CRUCIAL PILLARS OF CONTINUED SUSTAINABLE FUTURE GROWTH IN UAE

The UAE has made steady but quick strides along the path to development and has firmly established itself as the region’s leading destination for services. The forum, "Healthcare and Education: Two Crucial Pillars of Continued Sustainable Future Growth in the UAE," discusses the challenges and opportunities facing the nation in these fields.

Held on March 1, 2015 at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center in Dubai, this forum aims to build upon the knowledge of government officials, leading industry experts, and academics in order to discuss ways in which the UAE could leverage its expertise to further build upon its existing success in the fields of healthcare and education.

The goals of the forum therefore include examining strategies to further develop the region's medical research capabilities, discussing how to attract the brightest young minds to the nation’s universities, ensure ongoing and sustainable capacity-building of the youth, and debating how best to build partnerships between healthcare providers and institutions of higher education as well as enhance substantial and innovative research and raise awareness to CSR activities pertaining to both these key dimensions.

This forum is spearheaded by Dubai Healthcare City Authority, and Paris Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi, along with the participaton of the Masdar Institute, AUS, Abu Dhabi University, Khalifa University of Science Technology and Research (KUSTAR), Khalifa Fund, the Emirates Foundation, the French Business Group, and the American Business Council, together with leading expertise from healthcare and the medical field. The Organizing Committee also proudly acknowledges the Fatima bin Hazza Foundation as the exclusive Cultural Partner and the Chalhoub Group as the exclusive Strategic Partner.
